Google Translation:

This fall is one of the least snowy in recent years in the mountains. Indeed, the softness of high pressure prevailed, with dry weather durable. In addition, these conditions favored the development of temperature inversions. In this situation, it was frequently found at higher temperatures in the mountains than plains.

In the coming days, the situation will change, since we will find a more westerly flow disrupted. The rain will then return to France, as well as snow in the mountains. Friday, it is mainly the Pyrenees to be concerned with a rain-snow limit which will be between 1400 and 2000 m from west to east in the chain. Locally, it may fall up to 20 cm.

Episode snowy Monday marked

The weekend will be a gloomy time, but the precipitation will be less organized, and wait just a light dusting on all our beds, from 1500 meters. However, the magnitude of the first snowfall looming Monday.
The flow switch in the northwest, and the passage of a disturbance force, the snow should fall in abundance. The snow level, first between 1500 and 1800 m, dropping rapidly over the day. It could snow from 500 to 800 m in the Alps, the Vosges and the Jura, and around 1000 m of the Pyrenees. At altitude, the ground layer expected to approach 50 cm.

All the forecasts are floating between sat & monday/tuesday for the snow to begin. I guess we will know more by the end of the week. I feel like a small boy every morning when I wake up and look at the webcams to see if it has snowed.... :)

After 3 weeks of torture the wait is nearly over ....French weather experts are saying 50cms high up on Monday and then a lot more during the week.....The pressure has been on since i booked the week in Val d'isere in October...We fly 10.30am on Sat 10th...a week for 10 people....WIS ski champs on our 1st day might be a whiteout but.......!
Can only relax when the dump arrives monday night but they say there will be a dusting over the weekend just to make our advent callenders feel more festive.....! [b]

Fantastic... No world cup skiing, no Lindsey Vonn, a burnt down bar and green hills ... A real tonic ....cheers
Can't do another early season trip after this .....too much pressure....
At least Val can claim to have some true 'green' runs for once
