Just had another look, the 2nd camera shows the village slopes, look at how much snow is on the chairs! Another 60cm today.

The last couple of days have been a right off as high winds have closed most of the lifts.
Anyone going out this weekend is in for a special trip once the weather clears on Monday.

It's December, you don't book a holiday this month thinking you'll get 6 days of sun, because it doesn't happen.

We had a great week, superb company and some great powder. But also had bad viz for half of it and winds closed lifts. You have to take the rough with the smooth. At the price I paid I'm not complaining!

Avalanche risks are at 5 at the min so I would say your in for a great time just yet. There might be a lot of powder but that's no good if you have any chance of it slipping beneath you. val Thoren are reporting this....

VERY HIGH RISKS Scale 5
The snow is generally unstable, even on gentle slopes, many spontaneous avalanches are likely to occur

Closed lifts and limited skiing are bad whatever the time of year....

There is waist high powder on most pistes at the moment, no need to go off piste to enjoy it.
