Is it me?

To help you out on the paranoia front and since people seem to be demonstrating their wibble in stars rather than constructive comments I just gave you those five stars Ally.... 8)

I'm afraid I don't really care too much about the starring system and don't even understand why I'm on 5 but sure that will change after this post has been read. There are a lot of people on here who contribute regularly and whilst I may not always agree with the opinions expressed I'll chuck my twopenneth in or just let it ride however the starring system to me is being abused by some for no apparent reason. I can't understand why trencher has been given abuse on this thread for no justifiable reason. Plus all because AllyG likes a joke and tells us she likes it doesn't warrant 1 star!!

Anyway my mini wibble over and I'm sure this post will now be rated low for giving my opinion but hey ho :lol:

I think people are rating people just to wind them up, and it seems to be working. Personally, if you dont like what I say, I would prefer if you said so. I always post from the heart in response to anyone, and if I disagree I say so, and if I think Ally is wibbling too much, I tell her.

Is it just me, or has that horrid rating box really gone?

A few days ago the 'latest ski chat' went haywire on my computer and I only had old threads, and now it's come back but the layout is a bit different and no-one has any stars any more and the rating box has gone.

This suits me fine. Has everyone got this, or am I the only lucky one?

I did look up the software systems that do rating, and I can see that Admin would have quite a problem altering the system, because he'd be confined by whatever system he's using. For example, the one I was looking at (for university students) gave the moderators (tutors) the option of only allowing the students to see their own rating, or only allowing the moderators to rate the posts etc.
