I checked on what I thought were both his flights, his original and his secondary one. As far as I could see, his original Ryanair one was cancelled, so he should get his money back, and then the new flight said it was delayed by an hour and a half, and when I looked again it must have taken off and landed because it wasn't on the list of flights waiting to go or still in the air.
But I have no idea what happened after he landed, and whether he got transfers or not. I expect he will let us know, at some point. I hope he's not snowed in on the road somewhere in a bus, or stuck in a hotel in Geneva or somewhere.
Edit - Ise, you wear lycra underpants? really? Me, I always stick to cotton :D

Really sorry to hear about all the various delays and cancellations people are suffering.
I sure hope that those of you who arrive late get the best conditions of the season (apart from those when I go of course) and at least enjoy the rest of your holiday.
To those of you who have cancelled, I hope it works out later in season for you.

Well Ise,
I suppose if you need something that can stretch a long way ... :D
Personally I need something that can go in the tumble drier, as I don't like hanging out my underwear in front of our holidaymakers.
And, back to the subject, how many J2skiers attempted to get out to Alpe D'Huez this weekend anyway? Does anyone know?

Tumble dryers are destroying the planet :) cotton doesn't dry too well, that's really the point and why people say "cotton kills", lycra does which is why you get running gear made from it. Much better on expeditions where you're washing your stuff in a stream and drying it on the side of the tent.
