My word, it always amazes me when I open a thread entitled "Today" and before opening it, think, what is 4 pages worth of "Today" and ending up with so much drama from something so simple.

Tony, glad you had a good day today which has unfortunately been marred by someone obviously who has it in the neck for you. I think too many posts which are inoffensive have been 1 starred to make it something actually relevant to what the star system is about. I think the star system is being used as some sort of vengence about something you may have said in previous posts that has narked someone. I dont think it would have mattered what the post was about. I think the star system should be disabled as it is pretty pointless.

So, Dave, when you move "up North" give me a bell and I'll make you a cuppa and a nice ham and pease pudding sarnie lol

I think Karen you have hit the nail on the head. There is someone out there who quite simply doesnt like me, or my style of posting, and rather than actually come out and say it, they think that by one starring me it will have the desired effect until my overall rating goes down further, thus in their opinion making me a low graded poster on this site.

Over the couple of years I have been on here, I would say the following people would be likely to one star me:

Ise
Dave Mac (although he has said he hasn't and has in fact 5 starred me sometimes for good posts)
Babyshambles, who came back via several handles and got banned, but could well be lurking somewhere in the background

I would much rather someone come out and say what their beef is, but that would be asking too much of the sort of pathetic person it is who is doing this, so I assume it will carry on. I can post anything, and it may well get one starred. Poor old me.



Anyway, sadly this is yet another thread that has been turned into a discussion on star ratings, and in my opinion the sooner the rating system is done away with, the better, as it will prevent the pathetic ldiot who is doing this (to other posters as well by the look of it) from being able to do so, and maybe - just maybe, they may actually come out and say something.
