Back from a week in pas - all bluebird days and a lot of ice however, covered a lot of ground right through to Encamp. Noise in resort hotel was a problem with little sleep until we purchased ear plugs. Very tired and now suffering from a chest infection. On the mend and looking forward to a quite time in Serre Che in 18 days time :D Serre has just had a dump of 12cms :D

5 sleeps Four pairs of skis tuned and waxed for the clan. All family members going on this trip for a change which will be quality time. So glad I started to service our own skis as their performance is phenominal over a shop wax! Their now slippery little suckers for sure  Conditions looking good in Serre Che and can't wait :D

Thanks to you Ian, You suggested waxing my own skis. They will not be going near another machine or shop thats for sure. I noticed in Pas, under difficult and icy conditions they performed so well. I even take a little edge trick tool, with diamond and oxide stones, cork and wax when we go away to keep them tuned. I have now sorted out a bench with a good ski vice and started to tune my friends skis also. They feel so much better, I think its down to the hand finish with brass, nylon and horsehair brushes.

Jastem, let them talk. Perhaps we could meet up for a drink or two!

Looking good Alistair - which village are you staying in? We're off to Monetier.

Sorry Jastem watching the big match. We are staying in Chantemerle in SC. We fly from Gatwick to Grenoble on Saturday afternoon. First time in Serre Che but heard great things about the place from Tony. I gather Monetier is brill with the best snow and we will have to get ourselves over there. Very much looking forward to it. :D
