Great War wound! Shame the boot will hide it.
Glad to see you are on the road to recovery, Rossy. Watch out for infection for a week or two, then get going. Good luck.

Hi Rossyhead,
I'm glad the leg is healing okay :D

Have you booked anywhere to go yet?

Rossyhead - Ouuuccchhh

Looks exactly like the same scar I saw once from someone being knocked off a motorbike. You seem to be healing far more quickly though. They had a plaster on for months, and the screw wasn't taken out. I can't believe you've been trying to squeeze it into your boot already you complete nutcase

Fingers crossed for you.
I wish I could meet the person who first decided to strap 2 planks to their feet and throw themselves down a mountain

Im off to Italy Ally on boxing day but if I cant ski i will pretty much be drinking while watching the world cup so not a bad alternative! docs say I should be able to ski though, maybe just ski to the blues!

havent actually tried the boot yet-i think ill leave that a couple of weeks for the swelling to go down and stitches to come out

this is it now though so it has got better!

Hi Rossyhead,
I'm glad you've got somewhere booked, and you've got a back up plan just in case!

Your leg looks a lot better in the second photo than in the first (the stitches have healed really well), although it still looks quite swollen.

I went on a ski holiday 2 weeks after I broke my shoulder, knowing that I wouldn't be able to ski, and it was rather frustrating, but not nearly as bad as I'd thought because there were still things I could do.

Best of luck, and take care of your leg :D

Is it your ankle? Fibula fractures are generally painful but not too significant unless it's the ankle.

As your screws out you should be fine if not as well conditioned as you might want.

it was a spiral fracture of the fibula-goes down the bone and then across the ankle, unfortunately had ligament damage too across the bottom of the bone and inbetween the fib and tib. Had my ski boots on yesterday though and was comfy enough so hopefully christmas will be more fun than initially thought!! hasnt stopped me booking my 3rd holiday of the year for easter too!!!
