I'm ok'ish on moguls it's the deep powder that does me in.

Powder is the most enjoyable 'type' of snow to ski when you have it dialed. 2 things will help you, balance and fat skis )

A ski instructor told me that being able to ski with your skis close together helps when trying to get through moguls - which explains why I'm rubbish at it because I tend to ski with my skis further apart.

I would have thought very short skis would also be good - the kids seem to have no problem getting through them. I had to get through a mogul field in a lesson last holiday, and the moguls were huge - about the height of a kitchen worktop and really steep! The only thing I could do was sit on them and swing my legs and skis round (which is obviously not the recommended technique!).

It is another of the many things I need to get better at.

They'll get you around ADH. We won't be going heli skiing into 4 metres of freshies but they're a good all mountain ski. Didn't know you had those????
