Weather this season

Having seen photos and read reports from people on here, and been out to Tirol myself not so long ago, I think its fair to say this has NOT been a good season for snow in the Alps.

I had a brilliant week mid Jan in St Moritz, and I am sure people can tell of trips where the conditions were perfect, but on the whole I am pretty sure that it will be regarded as a poor season for the snow (thus far, as April could well yet turn out to be cracking).

Hopefully that means 2011/12 will be cold, snowy and a record one in terms of snowfall. If I could have last years snow all over again, I'd snatch your hand off.

Happy planning for next seasons trips everyone. Not sure yet where I will end up, but 3 things are for sure: it wont be Mayrhofen, it wont be Niederau, and it wont be the 3 valleys.

I think we have narrowed it down to somewhere in Austria (we have never been there yet), somewhere on the Sella Ronda or Whistler.
