Going to ADH in a few days. Any hints/tips on getting the hire car safely back to the Swiss Side of Geneva Airport or is it just a case of following the airport directions?
I will have a sat nav - can I rely on that?
Many thanks

marshian70, getting to the Swiss side of Geneva Cointrin is the most straightforward, as the road signs feed you in that way. Do make sure that your hire car has a Swiss Vignette as you will be on a Swiss Motorway for the last stretch. There is an automated petrol station near to the car hire return if you need to fill up.
Be aware that for France you will need to have Reflective Vests for all car occupants in case of breakdown. This is not the case for Switzerland. On the spot fines can be made, if in doubt, take your own.
Do be aware that there are speed cameras between the airport and France, and Switzerland and France do exchange data these days (and the hire car co. then charge us an admin fee for giving our details to the police)
Your hire car co. might want to sting you for the shuttle bus which serves the hire car pickup/drop off. They call it an environmental levy or something similar and claim it's mandatory, (or not in my experience). You have the option of walking with your gear, paying up, or leaving your party with their luggage at the airport, while you collect the car, after a 5 minute walk.
