 Summary

Nestled in the Allegheny Mountains, Snowshoe boasts over 250 acres of skiable terrain with a vertical drop of 1,500 feet. The resort features 60 trails and eight lifts, ensuring smooth access to all slopes.

Snowshoe has direct access to 57 marked pistes, served by a total of 14 ski lifts.

The skiing is at relatively low altitude, so snow cover can be variable.

Skiing

Snowshoe Mountain features two main areas: Snowshoe Basin and Silver Creek, catering to skiers and snowboarders alike. With a mix of beginner, intermediate, and advanced runs, notable pistes include the infamous Cupp Run and Shay's Revenge, while the Silver Creek area offers night skiing and family-friendly options. Elevations reach up to 4,848 feet, making it one of the highest peaks in West Virginia.

There are a variety of pistes to suit all levels of skier ability, from Beginner to Expert.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Snowshoe is Lewisburg, 96 minutes drive away.

Shenandoah, Raleigh, Clarksburg, Charlottesville-Albemarle, Morgantown and Roanoke airports are all within three hours drive.

Snowshoe is accessible via major highways, with the closest major airport being Greenbrier Valley Airport (LWB), about 60 miles away. Alternatively, visitors can fly into Charleston or Roanoke and enjoy a scenic drive to the resort.
