Mad River Mountain at a glance

Mad River is the biggest of Ohio's ski areas with varied terrain to suit all abilities. On the slopes there's 6 acres of 'learners area' and a double black diamond trail - The Chute The resort has invested in a wide variety of enhancements in recent seasons including increased parking, new rental equipment, new programs and snow tubing. The resort has also improved its snowmaking as technology has moved on, adding tower mounted snow guns. The resort's ski school is 100 instructors strong and the area also operates a value card which gives discounts off all lift tickets bought and further discounts at sister resorts throughout Nort America. Mad River operates 'Midnight Madness' until 3am every Friday and Saturday night and 'Perpetual Madness during the Christmas - New year holiday period when late night opening is every night. The 3am closing was cut from a previous late night opening time of 4am as it helped to cut down the drinking time on the slopes…and closing the lifts from 3am to 9am help our staff to get some sleep! according to a resort spokesperson. On slope après is provided at The loft in the resort's Lodge, with 'The Eatery' for all your dining requirements. Additional facilities include a Group Hospitality Suite and Free Ski or Snowboard Check.
