Ski Zavjalikha - Ski Resort and Snow Summary

Skiing in Zavjalikha

Zavjalikha, Russia (862m)

Russia has a new Premier and a new six seater chairlift in the South Urals. Located at the Zavyalikha ski centre near the city of Trekhgorny city this was the first six seater in the country. The new Doppelmayr built lift serves just one new trail that has been cut through the forest around it, but additional trails are to be prepared for the 2000 - 2001 season. The centre also operates a small Doppelmayr T bar. Expansion plans also envisage a new airport 20 minutes drive from the slope which would put the slope within 3 hours of Moscow's army of skiers. A four star hotel is also reportedly under construction, along with a second T bar lift. The resort also plans snow making and the use of new Pisten Bully machines to groom the slopes - all unusually good facilities by Russian standards at present.
