The traditional resort of Sinaia has some beautiful buildings including the Palace Hotel and the seventeenth century monastery, King Carol built his summer residence here in 1870. The largest ski area in Romania is also here, with the biggest skiable vertical and abob sleigh run.

There is an airport within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Sinaia are perfectly feasible.
