I don't think the boots were to big as the person in the shop measured my feet and wanted to give me a 25 mondo point boots but after trying them on I have asked for smaller size 24.5 mondo point. They felt very snug on the feet and my toes were touching the front of the boot unless flexing.

Heh, After my last year skiing my big toe nails became black and eventually after few months came off. Is that mean my boots where a bit to small? They felt just right when I tried them on and have been quite comfortable throughout the holiday but after I came back home I noticed my nails going black.

I have been skiing on and off since I was fifteen. My last skiing was in March 2009 after a 5 years break.

When I came back from the holiday in March I started to get quite painful knees when walking up and down the stairs or after standing for a while (doing ironing). It lasted almost two months :roll: . My knees were fine during the skiing. I have never had any injury.

I remember I had some pain on the previous skiing trip in 2004 but that was while skiing not after.

Anyway, just wanted to ask should I wear a support braces on my knees? And if yes, what kind of supports?

My next skiing is in March and I would like to not end up having painful knees again.

I am a fairly fit person so I don't think the problem lays in there.

Any suggestions, please?

I lost my sister during my second skiing holiday :cry:

It was in 1996. She was only 19 and I was 15. She didn't die while skiing though. Few days into our holiday her boyfriend arrived and one day they decided to walk in to the mountains, unprepared. No proper shoes or clothes, nothing.
They both fell from the ridge.

He had only a few scratches and a broken rib but she fell with her head facing downwards and broken her neck. Apparently he felt first and than... we don't know. Did she tried to help him and fell... Nobody knows what really happened.

A week before we went on the holiday I had this bad feeling that something bad is going to happen. I didn't want to go. We were going by coach and on our way we past this very bad car accident. That made my feeling even worse. And than it happened to me. My sister died.
Before I always thought "bad things always happen to somebody else not to me"

Now I am always scared while going on holiday. I hate this feeling :(
