With the exception of La Grave they are big Tour Op destinations. Have you been anywhere interesting?

Well, if you say so :D Been to most of the big touristy places, and found it's more fun to go somewhere where no-one speaks my language and there is no "english" bar

I know what you mean Bandit....but all im there for is the skiing really!! And tbh all the big resorts have amazing skiing so im happy. But im equally as happy skiing in a small place that doesnt have much of a ski area (compared to the big resorts) and no one has heard of :-)

North American skiing is better in certain ways but not as good in others.... i think so anyways. Europe has more vertical and often longer runs but as is often the case the snow conditions limit this. Canadian/US snow is near as always amazing!! Usually less crowds as well, maybe with the exception of Whistler or somewhere big like that. But theres loads more of both Europe and North America that i'd love to ski!!

Thanks for all the responses,

And in response to Bennyboy's that is my main reason for looking at North America The SNOW in Europe is such a gamble getting board of every year praying to the snow gods, fancy just knowing I will have snow for one year.

I was trying to justify my response but if i started to visit Europe (which i don't intend to) that would be where i'd go. I just can't see myself liking Europe much more tbh. Crowded pistes, inconsistent snow, wet-heavy powder etc etc.

In addition I do understand why people go but right now, it's just not for me
