is there usually enough snow in march to ski in Alpe d'huez does anyone know? we have been there before but always in jan.

Despite it being sunny and south facing, the resort is high and has a good snow record into April - was skiing there in April last year and it was better than many of the Northern French Alps resorts

Yes but if its as sunny as normal the afternoons will become a bot porridgey

Perhaps the title of this thread should read ' Any Snow By March'!!!

We were in LdA last year in early March, and some of the other guests in our chalet went to AdH for the day, and whilst some of the lower slopes were disappointing, the rest were great, by all accounts.
Up there for thinking, down there for skiing...

Brucie, I like the tag line "Better to remain.....". Rjbl,snow records show that you should be absolutely fine in March in ADH. May be there in Jan. but still to decide.
