Snow Camp Named Top Charity For Apprenticeships Again

Published : 15-Jul-2026 07:17

Youth snowsports charity Snow Camp has been ranked 16th in the UK's Government‑backed Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employers, making it the highest‑placed charity for the second year running.

Delivered by the Government and Higherin, the annual list highlights England's leading apprenticeship employers, assessing programme quality, commitment to diversity and inclusion, apprentice outcomes, and authentic peer‑to‑peer feedback from apprentices themselves.

The new ranking reinforces Snow Camp's position among the country's strongest apprenticeship providers and recognises its distinctive approach to developing young people through snowsports.

Since 2013, Snow Camp's award‑winning Apprenticeship Programme has supported graduates in becoming the next generation of role models and youth leaders. Apprentices help deliver the same sessions that once inspired them, gaining nationally recognised qualifications, leadership skills and hands‑on experience while encouraging new participants.

Lara Kinnear, Managing Director of Snow Camp, said: "For us, this recognition highlights our commitment to creating opportunities for young people who never imagined a career like this was possible, particularly in the world of snowsports. Seeing former participants return as apprentices and become role models for the next generation is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do, and this recognition reflects the life‑changing impact they have in communities across the country.

Apprentices praised the programme for helping them build confidence, strengthen coaching and communication skills, and inspire other young people.
One apprentice offered simple advice to future applicants: "Never be shy and always push yourself. Don't let other things drag you down and show everyone the confidence you've achieved."
