Scratch to laminate on top of skis

I managed somewhat stupidly to cross tips when in ADH recently. Luckily I managed to prevent a fall, but when I later inspected my skis I noticed that my super sharp edges had gouged into the laminate on the top of one of the skis. It has pulled out a small chunk of the laminate which is still attached but looks a little unsightly.

I wondered if anyone knew the best way of dealing with this, ie should it be filed off somehow, glued back in, filled, etc?

The skis are literally brand new, so I don't want this visible damage, and obviously want to prevent this causing any other kind of damage.

Any ideas peeps?

File or cut of any unsightly burrs/edges, then carefully with a finger (important) apply a small amount of superglue to the area to seal it and keep watertight. I use superglue for quick fixing any delaminated topsheet to prevent water damage. Works a treat and its invisible. Skis/board must be dry however, water cures superglue.

I have used Araldite in the past. The sort where you mix up 2 compounds then apply. Seemed to keep the water out.

If it is proud of the ski, cut the gouged bit off so it's flush to the ski with a Stanley Knife. Key the surface to be filled with some light sandpaper on the end of a pencil rubber (anything will do as long as it's a small surface). If you have a deburring block it might be okay to use, but a bit big IYKWIM.

Fancy you gouging your new skis. Then again....the important bit is the base 8)

You don't seem to me to be the kind of guy who skis with less than perfect equipment.
I suggest you give them to me and buy yourself a new pair.

Failing that, and depending on the size of the "lump", I would also recommend an epoxy resin.

Excess glue on the surface is easily removed with a bit of petrol.
