I think it is better than no skiing but the damn slope is just too short.
The boots were rubbish, they hurt like hell.
Time to buy my own i think.

Would i go again...? Yes but not for a while.

Thought thats what you would say!
As for the boots issue, if you are going to ski each year, you really have to invest in your own boots, and as everyone will tell you, take time over buying ones that are right for you. Money well spent in the long run.

I have never had rental boots that I got on with in the past.

The only thing that puts me off is the price they charge 8) per hour

Price is scandalous, £25 for an hour.
But after an hour i had pretty much had enough anyway. You can only go up and down the same small slope for so long before you get bored.

Again, Ian makes a v good point.
Think about what you pay for a day in a mega resort in Europe, maybe £30-£35. I know there are other associated costs, but I prefer to wait until I have got a week to go at. I went to SnoZone once and after 15 minutes I was watching the clock for it to finish. 5 minutes up the drag, 5 seconds down the hill. And a very dry pair of bases to boot.

As a recreational activity indoor snow in the UK is pretty limiting. However, if you have kit to test, or drills to practise they make pretty good places visit.
I did a 1 day ski course at Hemel last October, I'm still doing the drills I took away. A mate who did the same event, was convinced he'd got little from the day, can only do his drills in resort, as he lives too far away from all of the indoor slopes. He has changed his view on the value of the event, and his skiing has changed as a result.
I did think, that I would be bored spending 6 hours in a fridge, however, the time flew by, and I was rather knackered at the end!
