Thanks caron-a I don't think my old bones could cope with that after a hard day on the piste, I've never heard of any of those bands is that because I'm old ?
I'm thinking about moving my birthday this year to January 25th, so I can celebrate in the alps like the rest of you guys. :D

I feel quite sick, I'm having my 53rd birthday in Norwich on the 20th November, Great. Why couldn't I have been born two months later.
I guess I'm really lucky with my feet with shoes, walking boots or ski boots. I pop into the shop have a look for the pair I like, try them on and pay, with my last pair of ski boots the shop did the norm heated them up and fitted them and they were fine, I've skied for two weeks last year with them no problems. So far and I don't expect to, have I needed any other specialist help.
But Guy's although I agree with a lot of what Trencher says I still would not buy boots online I think you are just asking for trouble, I think you really do need that specialist touch.
One thing I like about this forum is that it is open and honest but remember it is only peoples opinion and the only opinion that matters is yours. Still it's nice to read that there's plenty of passion out there.

Interesting, prices look good, I'm very tempted.
The only problem, I had a bad experience with Austria on a summer visit about ten years ago, I stayed in a small village outside of Innsbruck for three nights, I stood at a local bar waiting my turn to be served, and they then served everybody else possible even the local dog before grudgingly they served me, when served they were so rude ( drinks slammed down on the bar, I really could not believe it ), my wife and I went and sat outside.
Even the Hotel staff were grumpy, although a beautiful country it was possibly the most unfriendly place I have ever experienced, hence I have not spent any more of my hard earned cash in the country.
As the years go by and the memories fade I am tempted to perhaps revisit and I know reading the posts in this forum I am in the minority with regard to my experience of Austria, maybe 2010 will see my return.
I would be interested if anybody else has experienced Austrian hospitality ?.
Well said.
