ldavies wrote:Yes, as per Jan's comments,
take the kids along to ski school, warm and well kitted out, leave them with the instructor, smile and walk away.
I've found that the 'right' age can depend, sometimes, on the build of the child. if he/she is bigger, and more robust-looking, then they'll often take to skis easier then a very small, slightly built child, whatever the age. But this is a huge generalisation.
speak confidently to your child when the instructor is around, and give the child the impression that this is what YOU want, and that the instructor is in charge.
please, please, don't be late picking up your child at the end of ski school. this can be really unsettling for a small child/a young mind. Be there when you say you will be.
Come to Niederau to see how it's done consistently well! L.
(OMG: JUST HOW MUCH HAS IT SNOWED TODAY?!!)

Shame, we are only in Chinaillon for the week so we will be departing for Reim on the Saturday, you never know perhaps our paths will cross.

Slight problem inasmuch as I dont do Waitrose, mainly because the only 1 within 40 miles is in the middle of a large shopping centre with no easy parking.

Anyway, Tescos have got Chateauneuf du Pape from their finest range on offer at £7.95 until January. I dont think theres a better deal than that right now.

The chateauneuf is a great deal but also the chablis is on for £5.95. MMMMMmmmm

Yes but Chablis is white. White wine is so 90's

Your be telling me next it's French !!!
