Hi Nelly, it's nice to hear from you in La Plagne :)
It sounds as though all is going well :) I hope to continue ski-ing at least once each year for several more years to come, as long as my health keeps up and I can still afford it. It's great to see people like Brooksy still ski-ing and enjoying themselves  I want to be like that too, when I'm their age :D |

At this rate I will soon have to start a list for the 2013/2014 season   |

Thanks Gaz :)
I was feeling rather desperate, as I'm off ski-ing again soon, and I was worrying about frost-bite, or I wouldn't have bought such fancy ones. I hope the gloves will be good, and I am pleased with my 15% discount :) |

I bought these gloves the other day:
http://uk.thenorthface.com/tnf-uk-en/shop-by/activity/skiing/men-s-montana-gloves.html I got them in Two Seasons and I had a discount for being a member of the Ski Club of GB. The full price is £50! I don't know if they are any good, and they were very expensive. However, I thought it was about time I bought some better gloves as my old ones had got torn a bit from carrying skis, and I reckon I got a bit of 'frost nip' on the end of one of my fingers in Tignes (when Cat got frostbite in her big toes). I got a white blister which has now peeled off, leaving new skin underneath - something like a burn. When we were in Tignes I bought liner gloves on the Thursday because my hands were so cold, and they did seem to help quite a bit. But the temperature up the top was -20C and it was supposed to be -30C with the wind chill  Strangely enough the rest of me was quite warm - oh, except for the end of my nose which I had to try and keep covered up on the chair-lifts! |

Never mind Tony, there's always 2015 :) |

You've both only got 8 days to go now - how are you going to get through it without bursting??? Have fun Nelly and everyone else off this weekend :D |
