A friend of mine is looking to go skiing in Austria next month and got a Standard Police Caution over the Christmas period. Will this stop him from flying to Austria and enjoying his holiday?

I'd be gobsmacked if just a caution stopped you travelling just about anywhere.

What software do I need to edit, or does it come with its own? I am on apple mac.

Personally, I prefer a music backtrack. The sound of me giggling and sniffing isn't great listening for anyone else. I assume this is easy to add?

Have a look on YouTube as well. There's loads of tutorials on how to add a really professional touch to your vids.

In all honesty if it's just casual holiday videos you're using it for I think the standard hero will be more than enough.

From what I've read, the video quality isn't greatly improved on the Hero 2; it's just the user interface. Granted it's fiddly, and takes a while to set up, but once done it needs little intervention on the standard Hero.

£300!? I got mine for £160 off Amazon. And the GoPro is a HD vid cam, and incredibly more versatile than a standard hand held one in my opinion.

The time laps options for example, can look amazing when edited correctly.

The Ski?

I'm genuinely thinking about this. The only problem being my ski's have a rough finish (on top obviously) and am not sure if the adhesive will hold.
