RoseR wrote:I ski, board and xcountry but only because it gives me more flexibility for snow conditions. I hate boarding on ice I spend half my life on my butt. If my feet are aching from ski boots then my boarding boots are softer and ease my aching feet. If my knees are aching from skiing then I board. If we want some peace and quiet and see some wild life then we cross country ski. We just like the freedom to get up and do whatever takes our fancy that day.

Yes, a very nice outlook Rose

has it got to a point that you have to say the word "joke" after a comment so as not to offend? take it as red from now on that I take the majority of what you say in the light-hearted way it's intended Mr Wickham :D

Caron I was really trying hard , so my humour does not offend, I promise not to mention the word joke ever again

Pablo Escobar wrote:I would suggest there is more knee action in skiing, a lot of people with knee injuries end up snowboarding when their ski 'career' comes to an end.

You can suggest what you like but getting up off my bottom many many times would put extra strain on uncle Ian's poor old football injury ravaged knees

I'm not teaching granny to suck eggs but knock up a spreadsheet so you can track what you will spend, you can even cost fuel, mappy will work out your petrol costs for you, and I forgot to add tolls to my previous posting

It's also on my list for a bit of midweek diversion from Arosa next week; the list includes Lenzerheide/Valbella, Chur-Brambuesch, Hochwang (St Peter-Pagil) and Tschierten (or however it's spelt!)

Will report back in due course.

Have you not followed bandit's link
