Its grown a bit if the village is 22k long mind!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brucie, I may have got that a bit wrong I think it is the valley which 22k long, we too spent several weeks holiday in the early ninties and we still go back mainly in the summer now infact the last being summer 2008, and people still reconise us, particular fond memories of the best pizza's ever at Bella Vista, and the friendly welcoming owners of the Bar Agata who are still there but like us all that little bit older, great times

NikC wrote:Wingers ? Both provided concise and thorough reports on the place giving their personal opinion, to lable them wingers for doing this is out of order in my opinion.

People shouldn't be criticised writing reviews, they should be applauded.

I got back on Saturday, had a great time, liked the place, but probably wont go back in the near future. I wont list my reasons in fear of awaking the Niederau tourist board :)

Well, said Nikc, its opinion guys, we all have our favorite resorts, and if you're going to write a report on a resort it might as well be an honest one

How can you say its a honest report when half of whats been said is not true.

You might not think its true, but it is someone else's opinion, we all have opinions thats what makes us different, but we all can't like the same things or places, I love a place in Italy called Livigno it's a 22k long village duty free not every bodies cup of tea but for Mrs W and myself it holds some fantastic memories. You might think its horrible, thats your right it is your opinion, but all that Karen and Tony have done is voiced their opinion of a resort from their experiences that does not make them wingers.
Late Weekend Ski Deals

Stewart Dowling wrote:Thanks Ian,

I have found some flights for 50 each which is not too bad.

Do you know any websites or private owned chalets in either Austria or France which would offer a weekend ski break?

Any other websites would be helpful to for other countries as the flights are quite cheap.

I think that might be quite hard, you might get a few catered chalets which will do a short break, self catered can be a lot harder to find as they like the full week booked, I normally stick to hotels you have to shop around but there are plenty out there not tied to the TO's, just deal with the hotel direct and because of the lack of tie the quality of food is much higher. And you want find them full of brits normally just the local nationality.

For this trip Little W gets really spoilt at her Grand parents, they are completely knackered after six days looking after Little W but they do enjoy having her and they are also quite local so it does not interfere with her schooling, but they find it hard getting up at 07.30 to get her to school by nine, retired people a life of leisure.

I'm off 13 March, leaving the kids at home. Obsessively watching webcams etc, normal behaviours.

You sound like a sensible guy, I mean living the kids at home

I am relatively practical and did my own with no real problems ...apart from the mess in the kitchen

When I started servicing our skis at home I used to practice on an old pair, picked up at a charity shop and made all my mistakes on them

I really don't worry what people think I am polite and socialable and will talk to anybody but if I want to tuck my napkin into the top of my shirt I surly will , and if somebody looks in a disaproving way I make eye contact and smile and they automatically smile back and laugh, I really don't do snobby, but I do cool 8) 8) 8)
