It is along time ago that I experienced group lessons, I remember a ski off down a slope and was then sorted into a group, and then moved up or down during the first couple of lessons if they had under/over graded you.
I have no idea if this still continues today, it does not happen in Little W's lessons as I suppose she has evidence of her level.

Great scenes anyway. Looked lovely.

Not too keen on Go pro's ... got my eye on a nice little bullet cam that attaches to you googles, Just got to save up for it now :(

Before you buy make sure you will be happy narrow angled lens.

For me I will not stop using my hand held so the "Action Cam" will just be for an additional view of proceedings and edited accordly which is pretty much normal for my home videos .... my anti Go pro is mainly about where to plant the bloody thing, I am not gonna wear a lid, I am really not gonna wear the baby type cheast harness I have seen worn a lot this year, I would rather film from the side of my head or maybe arm.
Last minute bargains?

Here is my two bob's worth through experience of the last three weeks which has made me more anti TO.

There is still plenty of capacity as in hotels in resorts which are paid for I was told three months in advance, the direct expense of an unsold holiday is the air seat ...... now what they ( The TO's) do is to sell off the plane seat, which is what they have done this year, I can understand it but not very good customer service.
The prices this year for last minute have been ridiculous £1000 + for an apartment for two in France.
I have finally got myself sorted but it will not be the Alps ... any ideas :D

Thats a great deal if your skiing on a budget get yourself back there again.
Why wont my K2's hold their wax....?

I have been waxing my own skis for some time now and have never had any
problems with the wax not lasting the whole week, although I will never get the perfect base finish doing them by hand in my garage as compared to a ski shop machine finish. I give my skis three coats of wax the week before we go skiing and it always seem to do the trick, I do always carry a a bottle of quick wax which I used this year on Little W's skis before her Slalom race and also a peice of wax which I tend to use on the edges when skis are dry and in transit home ward bound.

Dean599 wrote:Hi Ian,

Fantastic review and video. You certainly had the better of the conditions compared to the New Year break when we were there. Much more snow and far less people made it look just about perfect.

I wouldnt say it was overly busy or over crowded over the holidays but I have to say I would have preferred the conditions when you were there.

Thanks for the review!

Hi Dean, Snow is just luck of the draw it was the best snow we have experienced for many a year

It might have to be a DIY job and drive as there seems plenty accomodation but not the flights and the budget airlines want on average £400 for flights.
Still at first if you don't .... and all that. :D

At the mo it is desparation stakes looking for a booking, the trouble is "N"
seems more expensive then other resorts, I had some dopey person contact me yesterday afternoon with Zell am See but when I went into their website they only had one seat on the flight ...... strange that they have not contacted me back since I highlighted it to them.
Thats TO's for you
