I no expert but the credit crunch was never going to hit the ski industry this year with the "I 'm gonna enjoy my self recession or not " factor mixed with the good snow year I guess the vultures have made a killing, I would guess as the credit crunch tightens though 2009/10 less people will possible ski next year, the vultures I would think already have their accommodation booked so there may be a possibility of some good deals for the brave who hold out. What do you think ???

Mine are Reusch Triple X, they have fleecy inner gloves which keep my hands really warm, and I can take the inners out if its not cold. Primaloft lining and event Waterproof fabric, calfskin palms and inside fingers. I think they are pretty good as far as gloves go, but I only paid £20 for them in TK. Grey and black.

Salomons they are gore-tex and they are really warm brought on line for £45 8)

I've been several times but just once skiing. The scenery is beautiful and they make sure it stays that way. The people are lovely I've always found, I'm sure there's the odd exception, (in fact there is some guy in the news today). The food - now there is a good enough reason in itself for visiting Ausria.

I stayed in a 2* Pension in Mayrhofen at Christmas and the standards were great, far better than anything I've seen in France. And the beer is alot cheaper, as is eating on the slopes.

I've been to the Ski Amade area in the summer and it is a lovely place, but it's not that high, I've haven't looked up the snow record though.

I am looking for a nice small Austrian resort for next year - which is how I found this site.

I'm sure there will be a small resort person along in a minute :hunf:
