CEM sounds like you know what you talking about.
Had this issue for many years. So pain is sooo bad was going to try boarding. Ive tried various boots and insoles with no improvment. Got to the stage were I can no longer get any enjoyment from skiing. Have you ever seen a grown man cry? Can you recomend anywhere in the St Albans area that might provide a similar service to the ones you recomended. Or do I give boarding a go. Cheers any help or advice is much appreciated. |

Got back from Bardonecchia Last week.
Snow is Fantastic. Stacked over 1.5 metres deep at the road sides. You wont have a lack of snow. CIPO's bar on the otherside of the piste from Campo Smiths the best place for a few beers. Two ski areas Campo smith tree lined runs and the other covered on the same lift pass only a short bus ride away above the tree line. Fantastic snow park for snow boarders with Olympic half pipe. Lift queues were minimal at half term so your never have to queue unless you catch the ski schools. Cant beat Bardonecchia value for money either |

Bardonecchia.
Mainly blue runs ski to Door at the Campo Smith Hotel and Cipos Bar. No real greans but 80% tree lined gentle blue runs. No crossing of blacks and most reds can be avoided. |

Natural tallent has something to do with it.
But being born with skis on your feet obviously gives you an advantage. The younger you begin the more NATURAL it is to you. |

Glad to hear Im not the only 0ne.
Well not glad but its nice to know that theres other people ou there in pain. Always thought the pain in the sole of my feet was caused by flat feet. And when I say pain I mean pain. Can sometimes only ski for 100m and have to stop as the pain is soooo bad. Releaseing boots and wiggleing toes etc is the only releif. Stamping feet while going up buttons also helps. Lots of red wine during lunch is the only real only real releif. Tried bespoke insoles etc. no good. Anyone kow of any specialist in Herts Noth London Area? |

My children tried skiing for the first time last year.
One six years old and the other three. Took them for a few weeks dry slope in the UK to get them used to the equipment etc. Both enjoyed it and worth it. Had private tuition organised in resort 1 hour a day. 6 six year old loved it and progressed well. One hour a day was enough and left loads of time to play in the snow. 3 year old was just too young,( Ski instructor was 6ft+,Wolfe was just too big) was happy to just to play. Don't push them as it might put them off for good. If your going on holiday to ski forget it. If your going on holiday to enjoy your children in the snow you will have a great time. Taking the children again this year both looking forward to it. |

Hi
Im new to this site so hello. Was wondering if you can help me. When skiing I experiance terrible foot pain on the soles of my feet which I think is due to being flat footed. Ive tried ready may insoles with arches and specially made moulded insoles but neither have helped. Any suggestions?? Cheers |
