Tony_H, now theres an idea! I'll contact you shortly...via pm!
Yesterdays snow fall in the Val Gardena arrived as forecast, but probably didnt deliver as much as forecast. An average of around 10-12cm. This casued the Saslong Classic to be delayed and shortend to a single run. Todays weather could not be so different..beautiful!
Dear all,

I apologise unreservedly to you all.

During my short time on J2SKI, I have made genuine, silly, even stupid errors.

I honestly have not intended to "pimp", promote etc. despite the obvious impression that I have given. My proximity to the industry makes somethings a little difficult to post, however you guys have made clear your sensitivities and biundaries and I will do my upmost to post more carefully in the future.

From here, you can judge me on my posts and actions which will go to prove that my intentions are honest and genuine.

Thanks and happy skiing, Tim
OK, lets try again. It isnt easy to find a working farm to stay at during the winter which gives easy access to lifts without your own transport. Mind, I dont say that this is impossible. By their very nature, farms are off the beaten track - such as the one we are in - and long walks to buses come to mind. Also, as I guess you may have discovered, Alpe di Siusi is the 'wrong side of the Dolomites' if you are flying into Venice. Next time, consider flying into Innsbruck - the transfer is easier, quick and, I guess, costs far less. I would suggest that you need to look for a mountain top refuge, which is typically as good as a farm, but usually operates as a restaruant during the day. look carefully and find something for €55/60+. There are some stunners and we have stayed in a few! Very quiet on an evening, but no pushing at breakfast and piste is outside the front door which guarentees your first on the piste. There is much to tell, but give me some feedback and I'll try to offer more specifc information! Ciao, Tim
Dolomites - Arabba or Moena

You will love Moena. The bus ride is about 15-20min, depending to the Campitello box and the main system. But dont get dragged into the mentality of must do this, must do that! From Moena, you have easy access to many different areas and within a few mins (20-30) bus trip. Do them all! None will disappoint! We skied today in Alta Badia - awesome! Great snow and so quiet. We're here until late March. Get in touch if you think i can help further. Tim
Dolomiti Superski, where to stay?

We are here NOW! Skied today in Alta Badia - awesome - great snow and no one here!
First thing - if you come to Selva ( or Val Gardena ) fly to Innsbruck. And look at Innsbruck for access to other areas in the Dolomites - much easier that Venice. The answers above are all sound, IMHO. Gte in touch if you need more. Ciao, Tim

...which is honestly what I thought I had done! As I say, a little more sensitivity!

Dear all,

It appears that my 'Google Search' post caused some offense.

Please accept my apology as I had neither intent, desire or idea that it would casue such a strong response and feeling.

My intention was genuine and sincere curiosity.

I hope that the matter is now closed and I have learnt my lesson.

Many thanks, Tim
