That is exactly what I was thinking then I figured there must be a reason.. let the mind wander.. two families have fallen out and they refuse to connect their ski hills?

So what you're saying is ise and bandit have fallen out and will not connect their mountains until they make up 8)

Thanks Ian
Will now read on in silence.

Don't worry, the "N's" get a bit touchy from time to time about their resort, but we just beat them back with a sharp stick, and they quiet down for a spell :D :D :D

I'm pretty much Ok, renewed much of my gear over the last couple of years, I never feel the need to have several jackets, a couple suffice.....I do fancy some snow shoes though 8)

If travelling Jan / early Feb (not UK school hols). Flying to Munich.

What are the personal experiences of J2skiers of reasonably close resorts / intermediate ability / skiers (rather than boarders) / and access to a few drink establishments.

First thoughts are Soll / Mayerhofen?? :?:

Is the Ski Welt are linked like the Portes de Soleui is (sorry for spelling)??

Am I likely to get 4 night accommodation at this time of year in Austria??

For the record I kinda agree with previous comments about snow in the street make the whole winter holiday experience better - but I'd rather have it on he MOUNTAIN!!! :)

Then go for both

Heard some good news today from Stewart Davidson the accountant at Glenshee ski centre, when I called to see him when I came off the hill. They finished the season with about 43000 skier-days, up by about 4000 on the 39000 total in the previous season, i.e a 10% increase. He said they could have done with a couple of more weeks at the end, which came suddenly with warm weather, much earlier than last year.

Chionophile from Winterhighland.info

I am not completely sure of the figures but I reckon 43k makes for a pretty profitable season.

How do they work out skier days, I always thought there was only 365 days in a year
