I've given up worrying about prices in the mountain restaurants. We don't eat out or drink out much at home so more than happy to splash out a bit when on holiday. As Tony said a little earlier in the thread, the drink or snack is hugely enhanced by the view and general ambience. Effectively you are hiring a comfy deck chair for 30 minutes at 2,500m. Can't be bad.
We do carry water in a back pack though so we can keep hydrated during the day. |

Agreed. Surely you need to visit a shop and spend some time trying on more than one set of boots??

Is this an attempt to wind me up?? :P  I have about 1,500 albums (cd and vinyl) in my collection. The Sophtware Slump would be in my top 20 with Under the Western Freeway not too far behind. I like dull music. ** edit ** although Killing Joke's new album arrived in the post this morning which should liven things up a bit. |

Hi Cat. Glad you enjoyed the report. It was pretty magical. Norway has had a poor snow season but we knew snow was heading our way. The Skiing conditions in the end were excellent. We have more falls on video - I might put together a montage! I think the go pro is cheaper in the USA - go for it :D
Regarding walking around in ski boots, we didn't have to do this (it's a pet hate of mine). We hired a heated ski locker (£25 for the week) located next to the main reception building. Much more enjoyable walking in snow boots |
