I've been pulled over once, as a 17 year old, doing 50mph in a 30mph zone. It was a dual carriageway on the edge of a town. I just hadn't seen the sign. Amazingly, Mr Plod let me off. I still can't believe it 28 years later!!

We spotted some tins of food at the local supermarket in Norway. Not quite sure what was on offer. Maybe we should have gone for it! (bit like a foodie lucky dip)

Most skiers do not realize that they have a "dominate" side. You may be using one side more than other.

Also skiing cramps often occurs due to low water intake.

Another possible cause id too tight ski boots. Poor blood flow = poor oxygen to muscles.

Hope this helps you.

Pavel, thanks for the feedback. I'm likely to be right dominant as I am right handed.

I can dismiss cramps as the pain continued into the evening, even after drinking lots of water. My boots are tight but not on the calf, just round the foot.

The pain eased by the end of the week so I'm not too concerned. I'll be paying closer attention on the next skiing holiday.

Zermatt sounds good. PDS on the low side?

Interested but will depend on our wider holiday plans. Might be heading to the US in 2014 which will use up our entire holiday budget for the year.

As everyone seems to be in a grumpy post skiing season mood, I've decided to dream up a light hearted thread to keep us all smiling.

Wibbling is permitted, nay encouraged. Amusing photos please...with a brief note or caption if you wish.
