Once you've found the resort, try and get a map of all the hotels. Visit their sights direct, and use someone like trip adviser to get a broad selection of reviews.

The earlier you book flights the better, certainly with the likes of Sleasy Jet.

Have a look on the GoPro website. It lists all the available mounts, so should give you a better idea if it'll be suitable.

You could of course engineer your own to better suit your needs

TowerBridge Andy wrote:I just watched the youtube video advert for it and I must say I'm impressed. Very tempted but it's not cheap by any means. The big problem is the attachments such as the pole or chest would be no good for me I guess as I snowboard? So I would only be able to use the helmet one which if we are honest looks a little ridiculous stuck on the top of your head.

Any one used one whilst snowboarding?

You can get side mounts that look a bit more 'normal'.

This year I got buy one get one free from Inghams at booking so there are deals to be had via the TOs - though I did book in about May....

So is that solely the lift pass, or did you book the rest of your trip with them. If it's the latter, I'd suggest they're hiding the cost of the pass in the total price. I tend to book my flights, hotel and lift pass separately. Partly for cost, but mainly for convenience of travel options.

Good point. I'm in the big smoke so take local airports for granted.

The rate we've got is basically the children's rate. I know the guy has been in the area for a long time. Maybe he's got a mate in the lift office, or local hotels get some kind of rate. Either way, I can't seem to find a better offer...

Hmm, I think I'm with you re flying. It's quicker for a start, and I can check-in online with BA which saves a lot of guffing around in the airport, and you don't seem to make that much of a saving via rail, certainly if you upgrade to premium.

We also tend to go midweek for 5 days so's to miss the weekenders, the trains don't seem to go midweek.

Having said that, I bet some of the scenery is good.
