Thanks Daved :)

That's OK, I don't care about the concrete. I live in a really beautiful place for the rest of the year - all I care about is the ski-ing and the price! Once I'm out of the apartment and up the mountain on my skis I won't be able to see any concrete :)

Thats really strange Ally, part of our attraction to skiing in the alps is the beauty of the mountains, but these ugly purpose built monstrosities
Avoriaz,Val Thorens, La plagne to mention a few are nothing less than a total disgrace, to wake up in the morning look out of your window onto the sights of Avoriaz to name just one I could just not imagine..... I just would not stay there not even for free.

Just forgot one interestng thing: how quickly it has become strange and unusual to see people smoking in bars. Never really a problem for me, but might cause some distress to others.

But if you're going to come ski-ing with us, you'll have to do something about your skis - they're so noisy! -)

I have left the Madonna di campig Brochure laying around today awaiting her arrival back from work ..... he he I wonder if it will work

That's a very good idea Ian

If she's fond of her food, you could tell her that this hotel is particularly well known for its excellent grub :D

That sounds a good line for an ear bashing ... "Are you found of your food " especially to a woman
