Quite the opposite Tony, you sound like the type of person I would get on well with as does Wickers & some others on here, don't put yourself down too much as I will do that for you. -)

Didn't think it would happen, nothing does when there's a spanner in the works :D

I am pleased to announce that I have decided to go on this trip but will need to share a twin room with another person, is that person you?

I have gone back into the threads on this subject as a refresher on all the comments regarding the up & possible downsides of getting involved with people you don't actually know & still consider it viable, the reasons I have for this are as follows.

I take Tony's posts in particular as he gives the most reasons for the possibility as not a workable project & I take on board what he says & it appears that we don't know each other as the main sticking point.I ski with a group in March every year & new friends of friends are a common occurrence & as we have a draw for room & who you will be sharing with, you could well be sharing with a stranger as often happens.
In my experience the stranger becomes a friend very quickly & I put this down to peoples attitudes, for example you are all there because you love to ski & if you were the anti social type you would not get involved with a group of people you don't know would you.

The people that have included themselves in the group so far I'm sure are very socialable or would not have agreed to go, Tony says you my find your J2ski Nemesis going, obviously this assessment has been derived from postings on this forum in which case you should also be able to define who you would feel comfortable with & that's the way I see it, I believe we all subconsciously profile people on forums by their posts as these I suspect relate to their attitudes, some good some not so, same with all forums.

As for travel arrangements I would think that all would be able to get there independently by car, train or plane, in our group last year to Turin some flew from Birmingham others from LGW North & South & still spent the trip together, so I don't think this will be problem.

OK just one last thing, please bear in mind that all the friends you have now were strangers to you when you first met -)

There are 3 Bonjour chalets, coloured in red. Ours is the one farthest to the left. As you can see, it is in the centre of the village, not far from the lifts and the piste. And it's next door to the shop, not far from the bars, and pretty much opposite the ski hire shop, with the restaurants slightly further down the street.

According to the site this was taken from the scale is 1mm = 1000mts
