Looking good! Counting the days down here......
Short trip to Tignes 8th-11th Dec

Looks great. I am fully intending to take advantage of deals like this in the future. Youngest BB is 2 years away from University and then myself and Mrs BB are free!! We also run our own business so, within reason, can set up auto-responses on our emails and then leg it.

HI Mike. Another vote here for Tignes. Don't forget that you also have Val d'Isere immediately adjacent which pretty much doubles the ski area. We always stay in Val d'Isere but will spend time on the Tignes pistes most days as the link is so convenient.
Looks good to me. No complaints if you are skiing and the sun is shining (and you don't have to queue for food/drink breaks!)

I concur. It's good to mix things up a bit. For example, I have an iPhone full of digital tunes and I also have a turntable and several hundred vinyl lps.

Quick report. Glide & Slide were very good. Spent 2 hours with my daughter trying on a series of boots. No rushing at all and very attentive. She ended up with a pair of slim fitting Atomic boots plus custom footbeds.

Of course, it's like being a kid in a sweet shop. I'm now eyeing up a trip there in January for new boots!!

Hi bedrock. This was VD last Monday at the bottom of the solaise. It hasn't snowed since. The solaise area was open at 6% not the best.

Hi Ade. Glad you had a great time. Espace Killy is pretty epic.

Just had a look at the VDI nursery slope cam and they've been very busy making snow! See pic below. A number of pistes are closed (Santons, Arcelle, Piste M) but they often are. Looks like plenty of good skiing higher up.

Ade73 wrote:Not my experience. Just home from tignes. Had epic conditions. Pistes were amazing right up until the last lifts. The snow was still crisp and squeaky. Managed to do lots of off piste and the powder was still good at 3.30 on our last run home. Waist deep at times. I suppose it differs resort to resort. We popped to VD and it was brown, no snow. Olympic cable down and back up. I'd be depressed if i was heading there anytime soon but tignes was another story. Loved it.

??? There's loads of snow in Val d'Isere. Just have a look at the webcams.
