How did every-one start skiing?

I'm assuming that's a euphemism

Yeah my friends are very creative. Funny bit I learned to ski where I currently work

I got my sis to ski by promising her cute Colorado boys and a Jack and Coke. I took her to Breck to learn :-)

That's why Davemac doesn't wear a helmet - plenty of space up there

Ohh burn!

"Helmets have been shown to protect the heads of recreational skiers traveling at a rate of 12 to 17 miles an hour, but typically not at higher speeds."

If this is the case why don't they put the helmets that racers use on the market? Aren't they also supposed to fracture on impact?

I'd want the most advanced cutting edge safest noodle can available.

SkiGirl wrote:Has anyone flown into Munich and then travelled by train to Worgl? We're hoping to get to Niederau and the surrounding area in the summer and I think this is the only airport that we can fly to directly from Belfast. It's definately the cheapest flights I can get anyway. If anyone has travelled this route can you let me know the details? Ta v much!
It's a AWESOME drive!! It's what Tony E45 to A12? It was a very easy ride. I'm so happy for you!! Being from the US the only thing I noticed about the driving is people actually know how to!

Stay the speed limit tickets are expensive also don't forget the vignette sticker. You'll need to get one before you reach the border happy trails

Going via train is nice as well, they both have there pros and cons
They don't even take them, at least the ones in Ohio don't
Perhaps turning them into a chair, making coat hangers, cutting off the tails and mounting glass on them to make a table?

Can the older ones be used for scrap?

I just saw your message after I'd posted mine.

Do you think some resorts are worse than others, in this respect? Were you in the same place both times? And were you really left lying there for 5 hours - I thought the ski patrol people check the pistes?

Ally
I believe it's all about timing, and luck

AllyG I guess it all has to do with your timing and whose around you. My first time at Tux when I wrecked it took 5 hours (it was a crap day). The second time I wrecked I think it took minutes.
