Thanks for tips...what about a small place near Megeve called les Contamines?

Hi,

We are planning a trip to France, Xmas 2012 and are looking for a place that has the following;
Traditional french village atmosphere
Suitable for wife who shops and doesn't ski
5 and 8 year old kids
More french skiers rather than tourists

The skiing is a side bonus to a white christmas and learning french
