If the camera had panned round to the nursery slopes, it would have shown the seasonnaires using pikes and flails to encourage the newbie skiers......... |

The cat is safe. I have a stunning collection of credit cards and simply pulled the nearest one out of the wallet. Holiday now paid for and £3,000 added to the nation's debt.

Bugger. I've just had an email from our chalet operator wanting the balance of the payment for our New Year holiday. I'd forgotten to put a note in my diary. No food this month.
