Thanks for your reply. I know I could buy winter tyres and swap them over but don't really want to have to buy a spare set of tyres and have the faff of changing them over on my car. I will see what else I can find out.

I have been advised by a number of ski friends that Snow Tyres are to be made compulsory in France for the next winter season. However, I can find no evidence to prove that this is the case.
Do any of you know anything about this or point me to where i can validate this rumour? This will seriously impact on my travel plans for 2013 as have relied on Snow Chains to date. Thanks Tracey |

I know I paid €3 for it last year and bought it home so I could use it again but am unsure now if it is a P@S card. Will be gutted if its not as really wanted to sort it in advance. It does say on the website that you can cancel for a full refund upto 24 hours before so if i buy the wrong thing I should be able to get my cash back. I will have to wait until I get home to check it now!

Ah but now you can load your little plastic card on-line it should not be any hassle but it might not let me do it! |

I am out for 3 days skiing later this month and will load my lift pass on line although have not tried to do this before.
Looking at the prices for this season a 3 day 3 valleys pass for an adult is 144 EU. As my skiing days are Thursday, Friday & Saturday, will I be allowed to buy a 2 day pass which is 96.80 EU and a "Journey 3 Valleys Saturday pass" which this year has 20% off and is only 38.50 EU. Making the total for 3 days 135.50 EU instead of 144 EU. Wouldn't everyone do this? I cannot see anywhere on the S3V website which says you cannot do this. Can anyone comment? Thanks |
