thanks all, Interesting reading. I'm aware this is a hot topic and I did try to search the forums and couldn't find any threads covering this???
So the jury is still out, I think Tony raises some interesting points - I've always worn a helmet for mountain biking, I'm a keen motorcyclist and therefore certainly understand the benefits - I think the issue on the slopes stems to one of vanity, I dont see any down sides to wearing one so I think I will take one with me and see how it goes....... |

Its been some considerable time since my last ski trip (over 15 years now) - however I am now looking forward to a trip to the 3v in march :) , helmets really weren't the norm back then and I have read conflicting articles to just how much safety a helmet offers.
Do most skiiers now wear a helmet? what are your thoughts? |

He he lol, you'd have thought it was a girl booking it there! We wanted a chalet and seeing as we booked it a few days ago options were limited,well at least the skiing will be good!

thanks for all your replies folks that's great - we're booked for the first week in march so a way off yet but someone else has organised it and i'm just checking things out - will have a look at les menuires and val thorens. we're there for the slopes but I know how things go on a stag trip!

hello - we are a group of 9 lads staying in st martin de bellevile - we were told apres ski in meribel was a bit more lively but cant seem to find out about travelling between the two -- can anyone help?
