This would be a typical "how it used to be" experience IMHO. Both S&R and EB's are not signing up to BSBA, so the customer has to take pot luck that the member of staff has the skills needed for the job.

So they should still be doing the whole insert and heat holding malarkey then? I'll call in at Monument tomorrow morning.

As a non professional in this, I would assume that children's ski boots would need extra care as the usual customer "cues" to the fitter might not work! If you have doubts about the service, why not drop an email/pm to CEM and ask him what should take place. A poorly fitted boot for a child might cause damage to growing feet.

Wow bad news  You were really well organised to get the replacement.
I shall now make sure I have copies of the important stuff stashed.

Under what circumstances was your Passport stolen?

Is there still an Embassy Consular Agent in Mollens to get the ball rolling?

Not been to Verbier Tony, what's the ski in/out like?
Depends if you stay in a chalet or hotel which is ski in ski out I guess.

So, how much of the Tourist Accom is slopeside vs how much in the town?

I'm hugely biased. Come to Grimentz, it's not in France. Stay slopeside, avoid queues and resorts with loads of Tower blocks. No large Tour Operators go there.

I've skied in all the places in your post, they have mostly motorway piste skiing, but extensive off piste. I guess it depends on what you want to ski and how good you are on skis. If you want miles of intermediate slopes, St-Luc would be good, but you won't get the ski in/out.

Yes, Chris Fecher at Tinderbox Ski School. He's very good at working 1:1 for specific skills development. He's a member here too. Works with all levels of skier.
