Hi Idavis, Found ryanair flying to salzburg on sat 9th for £125 if its any good that includes all taxes.
Dont know when you plan to return but there is a flight at the end of march still available.Hope this is of some help. :wink:

Ditto Glyn, and yes the best piece of advice is probably get a pair of walkie talkies.You can get a good pair for around £35 money well spent if you ask me.There must have been about 1 dozon people ask me about mine in Niederau the other week.

Hi nick911e, sorry to be a spoil sport but as crashandburn said you would be better investing your money in some lessons.Its pretty reckless to just whizz off on your own with not a lesson among you,Your not only a danger to yourselves but more so to other piste users.
Skiings more fun learning with proper tuition from a qualified instructor,That way you wont pick up bad as many habits.You owe it to yourself and others to be safe and in control,If your gonna do it do it proper.

Hi Blackbrook, if your all beginners then you will usually meet up at the nursery slopes or if you have got a few seasons under your belts the it will probably be at the top of the markbachjoch gondola.
If in any doubt just as the instructor they are very helpful.Have a fab time its a great place.

I`m green with envy Kaprun in beautiful,I married my old man there 12 years ago (14th Feb 1996 ).Cant afford to stay in the hotel which we stayed (Orgler)as it now cost an arm and a leg.Especially with two kids.Have a fab time.

Hi Glyn,Just got back from Niederau last week and had a fab time.
In answer to your question i`m not sure, But with First Choice being a sister company of Thomson i would have thought it would be Wildschonau Ski School (reds).Both my kids have learnt with them,My five year old was coming down red 19 by the wednesday afternoon.Activ Ski School didnt seem to be busy last week for some reason.Any how have a fab time and enjoy.

This is one that i wrote on another subject, I think its each to their own, Personally its not a place i would go back to.
For couples and groups of lads on the lash maybe, But for young families no.
Sleazy lap dancers pounding the streets giving flyers to people ( my 7yr old at the timeis not my idea of the family resort they are trying to promote.
As for the Brits buying property they are after a quick killing.
My views are unbiased but purely based on my experiences of holidaying there Jan 2007.
