The ONLY way to deal with ice is to add it to whisky

Look at the Neilson Forum. There is a single skiers area. You may find there are some like minded people who would be willing to join You. Last Year I had the same problem ...10 down to 2 ...tried a subject on the forum and ended up taking 20 odd!!

I went to Serre Che last Feb (early). Big resort with about 250kms of runs, lots of snow, good variety of runs with the advantage that in low light/bad vis you can dive into the tree covered area (70%). WE were able to ski right back down to the resort and on into the town somedays. It is also good for off piste with a natural half pipe.(if you like that sort of thing) Oh...and the beer is OK too!!

Over to you Tony-H ....where is your review?
Lucky Boy.....don't forget the South Tyrol, Val Gardena, Arraba etc. The Sella Ronda (Dolomiti Superski Area) is meant to be spectacular scenery and although its a treck to get to it is Italy so prices tend to be a bit cheaper than France.
Have a look in the book Skiing Europe by Footprint...it pretty much covers all of europes ski resorts giving a reasonably unbiased view as it is written by skiers. Whatever you do ENJOY

Also try the Neilson Forum. There is a section dedicated for solo skiers looking to team up with someone.Last year as Mrs G did'nt want to come I looked on that forum and ended up taking a mixed party of 20 or so to Serre Che.
