Snowb4ndit,
Be careful, ski-ing on a mat, if you're not used to one. I broke my shoulder on the dry ski slope at Pembrey (near Carmarthen) a few years ago. A mat is much harder to fall on than snow. And it takes about half an hour to adjust to the different sensation of ski-ing on a mat, as compared to snow. I learned to ski on a mat slope in London, when I was 8. I think it was at Alexandra palace. But in those days I was young enough to bounce. These days I just break :( I hope your son's girlfriend has a good time and becomes another ski addict. Ally |

Snowb4ndit,
I hope you have a good time on the artificial slope - are you going to one with a mat or one with artificial snow? Ally |

Thanks Ian,
I did think to myself, if I posted what exercise I'd done on here each day then I'd have to do it, because otherwise everyone would nag me about it. It's blowing about force 10 here at the moment, but at least it's not raining yet, so I could go out for another gentle jog, and try some stretches out of my get fit for ski-ing book. Ally |

I decided it was about time to start getting fit again, as I've got about 12 weeks before my ski holiday.
Yesterday I jogged about 1/4 mile and today my legs hurt. Honestly! Last year I'd got so fit I could run 3 miles no problem. Maybe I should book myself into an old folks home for a week instead  Ally |

Hi Brad,
Are you trying to kill us all off with jealousy, or what  Ally |

Tony,
I'm sorry some Welsh people were horrid to you. I apologize on behalf of all Welsh people, and those of us who are not Welsh but who live in Wales. I am thinking about going to Scotland, but it does seem a bit difficult if no-one knows when the snow is going to be good. I mean, I would have to book a B&B ahead of time, as I expect that when the snow does come, they're all booked up. I have some friends and family who live in Scotland, so maybe I should try scrounging somewhere to stay instead. It would be a very good chance for some Tom Tom practise, but it would take me 2 days to get up there because I would have to do all the driving. Ally |

Ian,
Did you want to come as well? I thought you'd already been to one of these meet-ups? You know I'm not very good at ski-ing - you've already seen my video, and I don't suppose you're any older than me. Ally |
