Try these...

Touring skis.
98mm underfoot
21m radius

Wholly unsuitable. But thanks.

Depends on what you want from a ski with an All Terrain Rocker I suppose...

Better stick with the piste skis.

For really early, or really late booking in Chamonix, I like Booking.com

http://www.booking.com/

I stayed last time in the Hotel Vallee Blanche very central.

Definitely try and get somewhere in town, as you will need to use the buses to get around.

He's usually to be found skiing somewhere in the Les Arcs system.

The Chamonix valley has a very efficient bus service which is free with a lift ticket.

Glen Plake lives in Chamonix for all the obvious reasons )

Chamonix will do you nightlife to suit any budget. It's a town with around 10,000 residents IIRC.

PdS is a lovely system, but IMHO it's more about point to point skiing, unlike Chamonix which is more about picking your line on your hill for that day.

Not sure if you've skied France before, but do make sure that you have adequate insurance. Rescue services and medical care are not free.

Go and be stunned by the scenery 8)

I sort of assumed you were here coz you loved the skiing.

Well I'm not seeing any talk of skiing in this thread, perhaps I missed it?
Mostly I talk about skiing on this Forum, which is when I'm not skiing. I don't usually partake in the collective wibble.
You're more miserable than Wickers these days

Thanks for that
