Do drop by and tell us, if that's not the case.

I know who he is but I daren't tell - every villain in Gotham City will be heading this way... it's best that you don't know, really it is...

As j2ski couldn't possibly condone binge drinking (bandit - please keep quiet), I've deleted Tony's extra pints.

I have noted Goppy's generosity however and have pencilled Mayrhofen, sometime, on the calendar.

Tony - fancy a drink?

Got a picture, short story or short video clip of yourself you want to show us? Want to say a friendly hello when you first arrive?

Then reply to this thread...

We now ask that you don't use graphics in signatures, so this is where you can post the pictures you would have used. 8)

Established regulars are more than welcome to add an entry here (non-commercial please) to help newcomers get to know us.

So... my name's Dave and I'm a skiaholic...

We don't (currently) have a separate gallery... occasional pictures within threads are ok, provided they are reasonably sized (aim for a width of 640 pixels if you can) and, of course, strictly ski-related.

If at all possible we'd encourage you to host your pictures with Flickr, Picasa, Photobox or similar and then link thumbnails from your posts here to them - saves our bandwidth and gives you complete control over the number and size of pictures in your gallery.

Thanks for asking first - appreciated. 8)

Cheers,
Just seen a report saying summer holiday bookings from us Brits are looking pretty healthy despite the economic worries; this is being termed the "sod it" factor...

I've also heard from folk with ski-related businesses, and this sounds right, that they think many skiers would rather miss out on a summer holiday than cancel their skiing plans. You can count me in that group!

So is the crunch in your credit affecting your holiday plans? Already booked for next season or leaving it late for a last-minute deal? Going self-catering instead of luxury catered?

If you'd rather not be specific about your own plans, who's got some tips for skiing to a budget?

A few are fairly obvious;
  • avoid school holiday periods,

  • book accommodation out of resort and "commute in",

  • go to the lesser known stations where prices are geared to local people.

  • ...

So... who's in the "sod it" camp? 8)

Hmm... "different" as in better, Tony? 8)
Thanks Mr T. There was an issue with the sizing of the top search bar in Safari/PC but I think we've fixed that.

Let me know if you still see oddities...
