Easy Red Runs in El Tarter and Grau Roig

Conditions are fine. El Tarter has lots of reddy/bluey runs. The run back to El Tarter is called Esquirol and though a blue, has a slightly steeper pitch at the bottom. A good place to gauge where members of your group are.

Good and bad news folks. Snow has improved skiing slightly, but storm force winds are keeping skiing limited and, to be honest, not very pleasant. Word has grabbed my royal ears that winds are forecast to drop and snow to return over the weekend, however.

Grandvalira does not however report storm force winds and lift closures!

After a few weeks of wondering if it would ever snow again in the Pyrenees, its arrived! 20cm overnight and still snowing. I will resume my mountain reports forthwith. Well, after getting the first gondola up!

Hi Arnoldol,
I am in resort and as you know will be found in the usual places! Things are indeed disappointing on the snow front so far this year. However, the piste management is excellent as usual and the cannons keeping links to Pas and Grau open. Best skiing to be had over in Pas at the moment, and it is not at all bad so dont despair. Here's hoping the forecast weather changes materialise, or the World Cup Finals here in March could be in jeopardy, and that would be bad news for the resort. See you in a few weeks. Brucie |
