I thought it took several days to learn how to use a drag lift with a 'tray'. Well done Caron! :D

Thanks Eggman :D

The thing is, my husband and I have to earn the money, and I know how hard I have to work to earn £85 for matching goggles (and I don't care really anyway!). But at least my daughter is happy now, and hopefully she will wear her very expensive helmet and goggles.

Pablo,
I am very glad you had such a nice holiday :D :D

Ally
Pablo,
I liked the photo of the snow cannon the best :D

It looks like it's a great place to ski - but rather too difficult for me to get there by train

Litteski,
I'm really sorry. That's incredibly annoying. I can't believe that Rail Europe won't take your booking over the phone, just because you don't live in Europe! I hope you sort out an Australian number. You can see now, why your travel agent didn't want to sort out the travel arrangements for you!

Let me know how you get on with the booking.

If I ever go back to Oz again and I need some help, I'll let you know. We have friends and family over there so we might go back some day.

I know you mean well, but this is just going from the ridiculous to the utterly unbelievable!! :hunf:

Brucie,
The Australians were very kind to me both with helping me plan my trip to Oz, and when I was actually over there, so I don't mind helping Littleski a bit.

And I asked them some really daft questions. Like 'Do we need a tent for camping in the Kimberleys in the dry season?'. And the answer, surprisingly, was 'no, you don't need a tent'. So I spent 7 days sleeping on a karimat with no tent out in the open under the stars in the middle of the wilderness - really great :D

And I did some pretty stupid things as well - like nearly stepping on a crocodile while walking along beside a river in a gorge - it really did look just like a log! Fortunately for me, it was a freshwater crocodile which (the ranger assured me afterwards) would only have bitten off my leg if I'd gone any closer, whereas if it had been a saltwater one I wouldn't have been here wibbling my way along on this thread :D

You mean it's back to wearing animal hides and eating raw bear meat for me (or are you going to allow me the luxury of a fire to cook my food?).
